Personal Experience

Roger Sherman, MD, MPH

Dr. Sherman is board certified in Addiction Medicine (FACPM) and Obstetrics & Gynecology (FACOG). He began his career in the US Air Force where he practiced as an OB GYN from 1998 until 2007. Since 2018, his practice has been limited to helping people afflicted with substance abuse and co-occuring disorders in Davidson County. He currently resides in metro Nashville with his wife and his son. Dr. Sherman believes TNSAM should be a strong voice for addiction medicine professionals to improve the care received by Tenneseans. He believes in working to facilitate care and decrease the stigma faced by patients. Additionally, he looks forward to working with Dr. Elkins, Dr. Kirby and Dr. Zotos to strengthen TNSAM as an organization promoting the well being of Tennesseans afflicted with addictions.
