Bio: April Mallory, LCSW, has been providing direct social work services in Middle Tennessee for 30 years. After completing her MSW at University of Southern Indiana she has worked in court services at Cumberland Heights, the day reporting center at Davidson County’s first drug court (DC4), and with inpatients on the dual diagnosis unit at Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital.
For over a decade, April has been teaching social work students at all levels, most recently at the University of Tennessee College of Social Work. Her educational workshops and publications have focused on reducing the stigma of behavioral health issues. She simultaneously focused her clinical work on evaluation of professionals at the Vanderbilt Comprehensive Assessment Program (VCAP). She served as the program manager of VCAP for two years before joining the TMF team as a case manager for healthcare professionals in January 2023.
